Like I mentioned yesterday, I am fasting for two days and Ben made enough salmon last night to have leftovers tonight, so unfortunately no Pinterest dinner for us tonight. I am really bummed though because the leftover Turkey Stuffed Sweet Potatoes are STARING at me every time I open the fridge to get more water. So tempted to eat them but I am SO CLOSE to the end of this fast. Stay strong Krysta!

I was debating what to post about tonight and decided to share a little bit about Intermittent Fasting! I started incorporating Intermittent Fasting into my routine about 5 years ago when I was looking to balance out working late in the office eating A LOT of take-out dinners. At first I was like, wait you want me to not eat anything for 24 or even 48 hours?! I thought my mom was out of her mind when she shared her new lifestyle with me. BUT she had energy through the roof and I felt awful working a job from 9am-midnight without even getting to step outside for lunch. I figured it was worth a shot.

I will say it took me a while to get the hang of intermittent fasting, but once I did I was hooked! I always wake up feeling extremely energized, can focus better at work, and break through the sticky fat known as visceral fat. Now before I go on, I do want to say that I do nutritionally supported intermittent fasting which means that I drink a botanical blend to help nourish my body, have a little bit of protein to help pull out the toxins, and my absolute favorite – I get to snack on little chocolates throughout the day! I do these cleanse days 2-4 days a month and some months I totally skip them! I am a big believer in listening to your body and doing what feels right for you today.

5 Reasons to try Intermittent Fasting:

  1.
  2. Reset your metabolism – kick those cravings! Whenever I find myself craving more chocolate than I would like to admit I know it’s time.
  3. Raise you Energy Levels– Your metabolism is the HARDEST working system in your body, by taking a break from eating your body isn’t wasting energy trying to digest food
  4. Target that Visceral Fat – Visceral Fat is the gunk that gets wrapped around our organs. It comes from the toxins in the air we breath (like the plastic from shower curtains) and the food we love to eat. Once you fast for longer than 24 hours you targeting visceral fat.
  5. Boosts Serotonin – Who doesn’t want to feel better?! As a whole, humankind can afford to be a little happier.
  6. Lose that Bloat – Everyone’s favorite these day – chip away at those sticky pounds that fee; impossible to lose.

Let me know if you decide to try it or are looking for a way to incorporate intermittent fasting into your lifestyle. I know not everyone will love it like I do, but I’m here for those who want to try it out.

xoxo
