Easter Outfit Essentials

Easter Weekend is here! Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are the only holidays I might put some effort into dressing up – nothing is guaranteed though since my parents house is ALWAYS freezing! No one wants to wear a dress and have cold legs. I’ve got you covered with the Easter outfit essentials.

What did you wear this weekend?

I usually wear ALL OF THE LAYERS at my parents house just because it’s so cold. I’m talking leggings with sweatpants over them and Uggs. No my parents don’t live in Alaska, my mom just really really enjoys a cool home. Some say cool, others would say freezing. Either way, this weekend I impressed myself with one outfit per day.

American Eagle Crop Sweater paired with Blank NYC Jeans and suede booties from Kohls

On Saturday my bother, Ben, and I went to donate some clothes and other household stuff that we just don’t need anymore at Savers. I threw on a pair of my favorite Blank NYC jeans with an American Eagle cropped sweater and little suede booties. I actually had Ben go with me to Kohls to exchange these booties when we first started dating – he should have realized my love of shopping then 😂 Thankfully the weather was nice enough that I didn’t even need a jacket!

Amazon Fashion Sweater Dress

For Easter Sunday, I wore this sweater dress that I found on a deal through my Amazon girl on Instagram. I debating wearing this for Christmas but knew it was too risky with the windchill in my parents house. When I was younger, my sisters and I always wore matching dresses on Easter with our cute white Easter hats – talk about Easter outfit essentials! Thankfully the weather was perfect for easter dresses this year – thankfully we only match at Christmas now. No, I’m not kidding.

What did you donate?

I wish I had remembered to take a photo of the carload of stuff we donated at Savers. On Sunday I helped my brother clean through his room (in my sweater dress no less). Cleaning is kind of my forte – I love EVERYTHING clean and organized and put away. We walked out of his room in a half hour with 3 bags of clothes to donate. I did donate a sweatshirt from college, which I neglected to photograph for you all but if you don’t trust me, you can ask my brother. I promise, it happened!

Today’s Key Takeaway

This wouldn’t be a proper blog post if there wasn’t a key takeaway here (other than pure entertainment of course). This week I’ll be dropping different places that you can donate your clothes!

Savers – Savers is a for-profit second-hand store. They pride themselves on up-cycling and keeping clothes out of landfills. I have been a big Savers fan since they opened one in my hometown a decade ago. It’s a great place to find gently used clothes – or my personal favorite activity, shopping to re-sell on Poshmark. I LOVE a good deal and I don’t mind buying something unique to wear a few times and then pass on either by re-donating or re-selling online.

How are you cleaning your closet? Where are your favorite places to donate clothes? I’d love to hear more!

xoxo
