Resistance Band Workout with ACHV PEAK

Today I am back to cleansing (Intermittent Fasting for the next 48 hours). Usually when I cleanse I avoid doing strenuous workouts that actually will cause my body to start going after the protein in my muscles as opposed to targeting any fat that is wrapped about my organs.  After yesterdays Peloton workout, I was ready for something lighter anyway. A friend recommend the ACHV PEAK Youtube channel to me for some Resistance Band workouts.  I LOVE a good resistance band workout (it’s been a MINUTE since I have done one of these).

Equipment – Resistance Bands!

I had never heard of ACHV PEAK before, but they have TONS of videos on their YouTube channel anywhere from 5-30 minutes. You can pick the duration of your workout or mix and match for a longer sequence. I chose to do a 20 minuted FULL BODY workout tonight and was very impressed by the amount of workouts they have available on Youtube. I also really liked the couple that runs ACVH PEAK – they do some of the classes together!

They offer various workouts with resistance bands, dumbbells, and kettlebells. They also off HIIT classes, and a full body warm-up. I’ve noticed that when I work out on my own, I usually am looking for a stretch class. More fitness instructors need to be including a quick stretch before and after their workouts as part of the video you are watching because most of us won’t sit down and take the time to stretch. I know I ALWAYS regret when I don’t stretch, and I am sure I am not the only one!

When I started the workout, I looked at my three Therabands trying to decide which ones to use. When trying to figure out which one was my best to use, I assumed red was the heaviest. I am glad I looked at the booklet though because it said that red was the lightest, yellow was mid, and green was the heaviest.  I did have to laugh out loud when I was in the middle set and he said his resistance was 120 pounds – my green band was 5 pounds. Who knew they made resistance bands that heavy?! If I do this again I’ll definitely be investing in something heavier than my Therabands!

RESISTNACE BAND WORKOUT
Seriously, who decided RED should be EASY and GREEN would be the HEAVIER one?!

Overall Rating: This resistance band workout added a nice variety into my regular workout schedule. It was a nice touch that they show the progress bar on the side with the countdown along with the over elapsed time. I am really big on knowing how much longer you have to suffer for during a workout haha. It was a little easier than I was expecting but probably because I was using VERY LIGHT bands. He did throw in a modification on the last rep of the last set as the workout was ending, but I guess if you need to modify, use a lighter band or drop down your bands as you go. Definitely a great workout for every level!

I think it’s worth a try! Checkout the WORKOUT HERE!

Let me know if you try it and/or like it!
