Happy Friday! As much as I have been DYING to do a workout with sliders, I forgot how exhausted I am after work on a Friday. I went for a walk with a friend after work, came back and made dinner, and before I knew it, the clock said 8:30pm! Although I am feeling so refreshed after yesterday’s Melt Method class, I knew needed to sneak a workout in. I decided to search through Youtube to find a quick Slider workout.
When you search slider workout on YouTube, Sydney Cummings 30 Minute Sliders Workout to burn 400 calories was the first to pop up. I was so intrigued that I clicked it first. I immediately loved her studio and how encouraging she is as an instructor. Since I had just eaten dinner, I decided to save it for anther day and see if I could find something that would target the legs or glutes. Nobody wants to feel sick while working out!
I re-defined my search as “Slider Workout Glutes” and was happy to see another one of Sydney’s video pop up within the first few search results. This time it was a 10 minute slider video, BINGO!
What Equipment do I need?
Equipment: This one is EASY! You just need sliders! I actually love that Sydney says in all of her videos that you can use a towel or even a t-shirt. There is no excuse to not be able to do a slider exercise when we have both towels and t-shirts in our homes! I have also done slider classes just in my socks before. It’s not as easy but definitely do-able. I actually just purchased sliders a month ago and was so excited to use them for the first time. Unfortunately for me, they were getting caught on my hardwood floor! I decided to try a paper towel under them and they slid so easily!
This class follows a series of 4 exercises. They are split into two groups of 2 exercises on each side of the leg. There is only one quick finisher. Sydney keeps a countdown clock (which I always love!) on the side of the video and shows you how to do the exercises from different angles. She also includes modification options for every level.
Overall Rating: My legs were on FIRE by the end of this very short workout. I really love her style of teaching and am excited to check out her other classes. Looking further into her YouTube Channel, I found that she actually posts a new video every single day! It’s a great way to mix up your every day workouts. Sydney started her Youtube Channels years ago so you can dig through it to find some great classes from the past too!

Let me know if you try it and love it as much as I do!
