Donate those Clothes

This morning I was even more exhausted than I was yesterday, which means I couldn’t even focus my eyes when I opened my closet. Thankfully I knew today would be another beautiful day which called for something other than a sweater! I looked at my “office” long-sleeve shirts and realized that I haven’t worn 97% of these shirts in the last year! Time to donate those clothes!

What did you wear today?

After 10 minutes of staring at my closet, I finally decided on a green Primark top with another pair of Blank NYC Jeans- I’ve really stocked up on these babies. I learned that if you second guess your outfit for the day, your entire day is going to be filled with decisions you struggle to make. Always trust your gut (and you’ll save some time too)! I’d also just like to point out that I also have this Poshmark top in a navy color – I’m telling you, I always buy things that I like in multiple colors!

Primark Top Blank NYC Jeans
I own this top in two colors and I am OK with it. Also this is my favorite wash of denim.
Old Navy Elevate Leggings
Wearing my favorite Reebok PureMove Sports bra to run!

After work, it was way too beautiful not to go for a run! I slipped on a pair of Amazon leggings – I only run in leggings with pockets. I paired it with my favorite Reebok PureMove sports bra. This one is SO cool because it molds to your body when you sweat. You actually have to wait for your body to cool down before you take this one off. Reebok even offers half sizes which is an added bonus for me! Obviously I own this in 4 colors. I thew on an Urban Outfitters tank from college and was ready to run!

Patriots Sweater and Victoria's Secret Leggings
Do I look like a fashion blogger yet? LOL

Post run, I went to hang out with a couple of my friends for a little outdoor hangout around a fire pit!  I threw on a pair of Victoria’s Secret leggings (exclusive to lounging if you recall) and a lightweight Patriots quarter zip. I am a HUGE Patriots fan despite the fact that Tom Brady left us last year. No hard feelings.

What did you donate?

I thought I would be hesitant to get rid of things, but I’m so ready to donate those clothes. It feels SO GOOD to be clearing some space and I’m only on day 6! Today I donated an old swimsuit coverup that has seen multiple oceans. We’ve been to a lot of beaches together, but I just ordered a new cover-up. The rule is that I have to get rid of something for any new item that is going into the drawers, so here we are.

Today’s Key Takeaway

This wouldn’t be a proper blog post if there wasn’t a key takeaway here (other than pure entertainment of course). This week I’ll be dropping different places that you can donate your clothes!

Vietnam Veterans of America– This non-profit collects clothing and household items via drop-off locations or their own service, Pick Up Please. They either give items to homeless and low-income veterans or re-sell at their stores. All proceeds go towards programs and initiatives for the veterans.

How are you cleaning your closet? Where are your favorite places to donate clothes? I’d love to hear more!

xoxo
