Ways to Wear a Baggy Shirt

Happy Monday! Today I was feeling ALL of the spring vibes and surprised myself when I pulled a baggy t-shirt out of my closet this morning. Since I am intentionally trying to wear everything in my closet this month, I figured it was time to break into the short sleeve shirts, sorry tanks-you don’t stand a chance! I have been debating whether or not to just donate this baggy shirt, so I thought I would give it a try. What did I find? 4 ways to wear a baggy shirt!

What else did you wear today?

OK lets start with this baggy shirt! I bought this striped Theory Tee in the year 2014, so yes it’s been a minute. The older I’ve gotten, the more I associate stripes with a younger or more playful outfit – not something to wear to the office. Like I mentioned above, I have really been debating donating this shirt all month as I open the closet each day to pull out an item to toss. Let me tell you, it was worth wearing today. I grabbed a pair of Blank NYC Jeans and my white canvas slip-ons and was in business. Tossed an olive green canvas jacket on top and had a complete spring look!

Workout Leggings
Workout Lettings for TJ Maxx...they are cute but NOT recommended for a cardio workout

After work, I threw on a pair of leggings with another Victorias secret sports bra and tank from my health and wellness company. Remember when I mentioned that buying workout leggings at TJ Maxx can be risky business? While these leggings are cute and one of two patterned leggings that I own (I guess three if you count the tie dye ones), they don’t stay up as well around the waist when working out, particularly bending and squatting. I made it through the workout but seriously considering donating these leggings after washing them.

OK so what are the 4 Ways to wear a Baggy Shirt??

How to Wear a Baggy Shirt

Baggy

You guessed it, you can absolutely wear your oversized shirt as a baggy tee If you wish. Nothing wrong with that!

4 Ways to Wear a Baggy Shirt

Twist and Tuck

I wore my shirt today using this twist and tuck method which has quickly become my new favorite! All you do is twist the front right in the center and tuck the twist into your jeans. Simple yet flattering. I rolled the sleeves twice to make them a little shorter!

How to Tie your Shirt In a Knot

Front Knot

I’m going to say there is an 85% chance you can’t wear a shirt like this to work, but it still can be worn for a casual day with friends. I am a big front knot fan in the summer! Fun fact, I just learned that you can tie a knot in a shirt – I always thought people used a hair tie 😂.

French Tuck of Half Tucked Shirt

Front Tuck

This used to be my favorite way to wear a shirt. I am a big believer in the full tuck or the front tuck- also know as the French Tuck.

Let me know your favorite ways to wear a baggy shirt! I am ALWAYS looking to style my clothing differently to change up the look!
