This weekend was filled with lots of sunshine! I was excited to actually “look cute” because who dresses up for gloomy days – no one! Ben and I had a big weekend of adulting (aka grocery shopping and working out) followed by a few small gatherings with friends. I was excited to actually wear some cute weekend outfits!
What cute weekend outfits did you wear?
Ben and I had some mixed communication about how we were starting our Saturday, I thought workout and he thought Costco trip. Thankfully I just changed my shirt from a tank top to a crop top as we were running out of the door so I wouldn’t be freezing at Costco! The refrigerated food section is COLD! I put on my brand new Clique leggings for my run – they just updated them to have pockets and I have never been more excited! I wore a black Nike sports bra, black crop top, and white Allbirds and was ready to roll. If you remember from yesterdays post about affordable sustainable clothing brands, both Clique and Allbirds are sustainable brands that I LOVE! After our massive Costco trip I had to convince myself to run on the beautiful weather. I traded my crop top for a pink tank and hit the pavement. You never regret a workout, that’s for sure.
Post run, I was SO EXCITED to finally wear something cute! I purchased this cute SHEIN top back in 2018 (don’t forget to checkout the SHEIN tips for a successful shopping trip). It of course has probably been worn only a handful of times. Over Easter Weekend, I picked up these cute jeans that are actually “cropped” but for someone as short as me, they fit just perfectly as ankle length 😂. I wore my golden Guess sparkly slides and brought a leather jacket in case it got cold. Spoiler alert, 20 minutes after the sun went down, I was freezing!
Sunday only required one outfit – a classic Gap sweater and Blank NYC Jeans. It was a little gloomier here today so I was definitely trying to be warm! My cousin stopped by and we went to the pier to grab Amanda’s Bananas (this amazing “ice cream” dessert made out of bananas)! I opted for my usual white canvas slip-ons today and a slightly warmer jacket. Casual cute weekend outfits always do the trick!
What did you donate?
I know, I’m a terrible person for not cleaning through my clothes this weekend. We are definitely running out of time as we are already at the last week in April (how is this even possible?!). This week will involve some instagram story try-ons where people can vote keep or donate for me. It will be fun and terrifying all at the same time I am sure. Stay tuned for more!
