Happy Friday! Although Ben and I just got back from our Easter celebration, we are hitting the road again tonight for a weekend escape to the Berkshires! My family has owned a timeshare in Western Mass since I was in elementary school. I grew up spending my April break out there! I am SO excited to show Ben the area since our trip out there was cancelled last year.
What did you wear today?
I started my Friday morning off with a foam rolling recovery class. I’m not the kind of girl who cares to workout in the morning, but I do drag myself out of bed for a little recovery session because I know it’s worth it. I tossed on another pair of black leggings (shocker) and an Under Armour t-shirt that I really think I picked up at a thrift store somewhere along the way.
Since I knew we would be hitting the road today, I kept it very casual in terms of other clothing. I wore my new favorite pair of everyday leggings – an embossed camo from Old Navy. I am not a big camo girl, but I know it’s never going away. I actually loved how sleek these looked on the model and I’ve been hooked ever since the first wear. I paired it will a basic white v-neck from target and a cozy white sweater from Amazon! Perfect outfit for sitting in the car for 3 hours on our way to our weekend escape!
What did you donate?
While I was struggling to pack, I opened every drawer possible. The weather says it’s going to be 48°-70° each day and rainy on Sunday. So basically I packed everything that I own 😂. I came across this blue and green cropped sweater that I picked up at a Forever 21 back in 2012. I can safely say that I have maybe worn it once a winter since then. It’s not really work friendly and I wouldn’t say that I chose to wear it when hanging out in public. To the donation pile it goes.
Today’s Key Takeaway
This wouldn’t be a proper blog post if there wasn’t a key takeaway here (other than pure entertainment of course).
The Salvation Army is another well-known spot to drop off your clothes! They accept more that just clothes, including furniture, houseware goods, shoes, books, and electronics. The Salvation Army gives back to many communities by operating shelters for the homeless, disaster relief, and offers humanitarian aid for developing countries.
How are you cleaning your closet? Where are your favorite places to donate clothes? I’d love to hear more!
xoxo
